Dear Fellow Alumni,
On behalf of all alumni of the SSCC Ain Najm, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Ain Najm Alumni Association website.
As we noticed, the world is growing to be more complicated with every passing day. We get involved with our families trying to keep up with the fast pace of our realities and suddenly we're losing sight of some valuable experiences in our lives and losing touch with those outside the close circle. However, as Alumni, I believe that we carry the right gears that are needed to revive these bonds that may have been unintentionally broken and to relive the memories and experiences that have carved our childhood. I believe that it's all about reuniting with the people who have shared the same tiny classroom and with whom we have formed some of our genuine friendships. Thus, I urge you to take a step back and reevaluate what we are missing out in this blaring lifestyle and let's attempt to reconnect with what makes us human.
The Alumni Association can help you stay connected to those friends and to the vast resources available here, from the School that taught and guided you to our seminars, events, workshops, social media and an extraordinary variety of programs designed with you in mind to support you as you pursue your life and career. The Alumni Association is also continuously faced with this challenging task and we will have to make every effort to accomplish this. The alumni events, networking get-togethers, activities and sporting events, career advisory services, and social media resources available through the Alumni Association and the School are all designed to help you be as successful as you can possibly be.
After all, I believe that your success is our success!!!
One of the important tasks that we set out for ourselves during the coming years is to significantly increase the Association membership. We hope we will be successful in achieving this. A problem that we are faced with is maintaining regular communication with our membership regarding the Association activities. However, I trust that this website will act as a stimulus for the communication among the members. We have many initiatives planned for the coming years and many projects in the pipeline to increase member benefits and interaction, student welfare and our reach and impact as thought leaders.
At the same time, I would like to urge you to think of ways you can give back to the School and the Association to whatever degree you are comfortable and of course I do not mean just monetarily. There are many ways to give back, from career and academic mentoring to volunteering time to simply attending academic and social events. Thus, I encourage you to explore all that we have to offer to stay connected and make yourself and AASSCC stronger. And if you should find yourself in the area, please do not hesitate to stop by the School.
Let me conclude by thanking all of you for your support and we look forward to the continued support and active involvement of the entire membership to carry out our activities in the coming year.
With my warmest regards,
Elias Selwan, prom 2002
